Canadian resumes follow North American conventions: concise, achievement-focused and free of personal details that could lead to discrimination. For newcomers, the biggest wins are stating your work authorisation clearly and translating international experience into Canadian terms.
Length
1–2 pages. Two is fine for experienced candidates.
Photo
No. Photos are not expected and can cause your resume to be set aside to avoid bias concerns.

State your work status up front
Employers want to know you can work without sponsorship. A short line under your name, such as "Permanent Resident — eligible to work in Canada", answers it immediately.
Use Canadian spelling and terms
Canadian English mixes British and American conventions (e.g. "colour", "centre" but "organize" is also common). Match the spelling used in the job ad.
Check if your profession is regulated
